Quat Quatta Wedding Invitations

Classic wedding invitations for Quat Quatta Weddings

Quat Quatta is an intimate wedding venue located in Ripponlea, Melbourne. This Victorian mansion boasts grand architecture and beautiful gardens. Any of our letterpress wedding invitations can feature our custom venue illustration of Quat Quatta for no additional fee. The illustration is shown here used in our Hannah design style, placed mid-text on the invitation. It is printed in our ‘Black’ letterpress ink on White 100% cotton paper. The invitation is paired with ‘White’ shade envelopes.

Quat Quatta

Quat Quatta, a Victorian-era mansion built in 1890, offers a stunning ballroom, grand staircase, and marbled verandah. The outdoor courtyard with festoon lights is perfect for evening celebrations, while the manicured gardens and heritage architecture provide an elegant backdrop for timeless wedding photos. The spaces accommodate various guest capacities and offering beautiful settings for ceremonies and receptions.

Any of our letterpress wedding invitations can feature our custom venue illustration of Quat Quatta for no additional fee. My illustration captures the building's front facade, highlighting its architectural features and paying attention to details such as the detailing in the verandah and along the roof. The gardens been incorporated to provide context and emphasise its place within the setting.

Note that this drawing also has a version available to use in which the front left driveway trees are omitted, revealing the rest of the building to the left and extending the sweep of the driveway.

Creating the illustration

For this particular illustration, I began by sketching the venue's outline with a pencil and then refined the initial sketch using a pen to produce the final image. In my drawing style I use shading techniques to create form in buildings or depth in a scene. The hedges and trees surrounding the building are depicted with tone to add interest and contrast.

I always try to incorporate greenery or other natural surroundings into my illustrations as this helps to provide depth and context to the image. Incorporating natural elements in the illustration helps to create a sense of grounding and can make the building appear less detached when used in the invitation design.
